Build and edit your Gantt chart

Enter task names, start and finish dates, trade names, locations and completion percentages. Link predecessors and successors, overlap trades and highlight critical work.

Keep control of the program

Use task-only, Gantt-only or side-by-side views. Zoom the dated timeline, resize columns and lock dates. Site managers control schedule changes; trades can send requests.

Keep the team informed

Invite managers, trades and clients into your project with assigned permissions. Share task scope and files, track requests and exchange defect photos for review.

Share a clear printed plan

Print a landscape Gantt chart or save it as a PDF. See task dates and progress together, with autosave controls and project exports to support your workflow.

Reading the program

What does a Gantt chart show?

A Gantt chart places each task beside a dated timeline. The start and end of its bar show when work is planned; rows that overlap show work happening at the same time. A completion fill makes progress visible without changing the planned dates.

In the sample above, Area A and Area B overlap. Extending Area A's finish lengthens its bar, while changing its completion percentage updates the darker fill. The preview lets you explore these changes without an account.

Build a construction program people can follow.

  1. Describe the work. Give each task a clear name, trade and location so people can identify their responsibilities.
  2. Set dates and links. Enter the agreed start and finish, then identify which tasks depend on earlier work. Review overlaps against the people and equipment available.
  3. Keep bookings visible. In the full BC Gantt workspace, managers can lock dates and review trade requests before changing the program.
  4. Share the current picture. Record completion, invite project viewers and use the dated print or PDF view for site discussions.

A predecessor is an earlier linked task; a successor follows it. These links explain the intended sequence. A manual priority highlight records a management choice; it is different from a critical path calculated from durations and dependencies.

Common questions

Do invited trades and clients need to pay?

No. People invited to an existing project join free with the permissions assigned by its manager. A subscription is for customers purchasing their own workspace.

Can trades change the schedule?

Trades have a restricted view and can send requests to the site manager. Managers control date changes and project access.

Can I use BC Gantt in a browser?

Yes. Open BC Gantt online and sign in with your account email. No App Store download is required to use the web application.

Can I print the program or save a PDF?

Yes. BC Gantt includes a landscape print view and a save-as-PDF option for sharing a dated program.

How do the subscription plans work?

The price is AUD $539.00 per year including GST. Or choose AUD $49.99 monthly, including GST. The annual price saves over 10% on $599; monthly billing has no annual commitment. Your selected plan renews until cancelled. The purchasing account can manage billing and cancel the next renewal through Account.
